SUCCESS STORY – Corvette Museum

America’s sports car enthusiasts are avid “collectors.” That’s why just after the Corvette Museum opened in 1994 it developed its first ornament with Beacon Design for members, fans and visitors. For over two decades Beacon Design has been crafting unique keepsakes to reflect the beauty and style of the Corvette’s evolution.

The Museum typically receives its new ornament in July allowing plenty of time to promote it during their event season and before the holidays. In 2009 they received the ornament in May to allow for extra promotion time for their 15th anniversary celebration.

They market the ornament on their website, in a two‐page merchandise section of their member magazine, America’s Sports Car, and in a biweekly email newsletter to tens of thousands of Corvette enthusiasts. The Museum has found that promotion via the web site or through its email newsletter is one of its most profitable marketing tools.

2009 marked the 15th anniversary of the opening of the museum. In conjunction with a huge celebration in September, the museum is commemorating this milestone with a special commemorative ornament showing the Caravan road sign in addition to their regular series piece.
