In 1776, the Declaration of Independence was adopted as a formal statement outlining the nation’s founding. Carefully preserved and studied over generations, its text and symbolism have been examined by historians, educators, and scholars as part of the nation’s early record. Today, it remains one of the most significant documents of the founding era and a central reference point in understanding the origins and development of the United States.
To honor that enduring legacy, The White House Historical Association has launched the Official Commemorative Ornament of America’s 250th Anniversary, along with two additional keepsake ornaments marking the United States Semiquincentennial. Created in partnership with America250TM, the bipartisan initiative established to commemorate America’s Semiquincentennial, the ornaments are manufactured at our Lincoln, RI campus.
The Official America250TM Collection
The centerpiece of the collection is the Official Commemorative Ornament of America’s 250th Anniversary: The Declaration of Independence. This striking keepsake honors the document that gave birth to the nation, featuring a beautifully detailed replica of the Declaration and its signatories printed on linen, elegantly framed, and finished in 24-karat gold. On the reverse, the ornament showcases the North Front of the White House alongside both the Betsy Ross 13-star flag and the modern 50-star flag, finished with the official America250TM logo and the years 1776–2026. Meticulously designed and hand-assembled in the USA, these elements come together to create a timeless heirloom commemorating 250 years of American history.

Completing the collection are two additional ornaments: Eagle of Freedom Over America and American Icons. The Eagle of Freedom Over America keepsake is a tribute to national pride and heritage, depicting the country draped with the American flag while a majestic bald eagle soars above, celebrating the 250th anniversary of America’s founding. The American Icons ornament is an exquisitely crafted piece that cherishes several of the nation’s most iconic landmarks, from the Statue of Liberty in New York to the Golden State Bridge in California. In all, these architectural treasures collectively symbolize America’s identity. Both commemorative keepsakes will bear the official America250TM logo and are licensed products.
