The Tomorrow Fund is an independent non-profit organization providing support to children with cancer and their families. Beacon Design was proud to donate ornaments to The Tomorrow Fund for all that the organization does for the children, their families, and the community. By focusing on tomorrow, The Tomorrow Fund ensures daily financial and personal resources to any child being treated at Hasbro Children’s Hospital in the Tomorrow Fund Clinic, a state-of-the-art medical facility equipped with a team of medical experts. The Tomorrow Fund strives to ensure access to the highest level of comprehensive care while raising awareness of childhood cancers.
Resources for Children & Families
The cost of childhood cancer spreads far beyond the health and wellness of survivors. Treatment costs can feel unachievable to most families and that’s where The Tomorrow Fund comes in. Through fundraising and donations, The Tomorrow Fund can give families financial peace of mind.
Financial support is offered in more ways than one. Medical bills, household expenses, paid parking, and daily stipends are provided to families to cover the costs of daily needs during and after treatment. Family financial support is specific to each family and situation.
Day Camps
The Tomorrow Fund understands the need for balance during this serious time. The Tomorrow Fund inspires fun and joy with their camps for the children. Camp Dotty welcomes children ages 4-7 and their siblings to engage in age-appropriate activities. Camp Tomorrow Fund was created for ages 8-12 to connect with other children and cultivate positive memories. All activities are overseen by Child Life Services to ensure all health care and safety needs are met.
Survivorship Programs
The Tomorrow Fund’s efforts don’t end after treatment. This organization stays connected with the patients even after they go into remission and into adult life. They believe in tomorrow and ensure their patients look forward to a bright one. One example of this is the Dino Germani Scholarship, offered to college students, specifically those who have been treated in the Tomorrow Fund Clinic.
Annual Fundraising Events
The Tomorrow Fund is an independent non-profit organization meaning they do not receive any funding from the state agencies or medical facilities. The work they do is fueled by loyal donors and fundraising efforts. The Tomorrow Fund has a year-long itinerary of fundraising events like the Annual Tomorrow Fund Fantasy Ball; Stroll & Roll; Cancer Awareness Ceremony; and more. These events help to bring sponsors together and continue spreading awareness of childhood cancers. Beacon Design was happy to get involved by donating some of our ornaments to be used as a fundraising item for their annual Golf Tournament.
The Tomorrow Fund will use these donated ornaments to fundraise at an event of theirs, but that’s not the only way to increase fundraising dollars with custom ornaments. Many of Beacon Design’s nonprofit customers will use ornaments to help bring donors back year after year creating a collectible series, others will use it as a donor gift to sponsors or volunteers.
