Overview

The Texas Governor’s Mansion is a historic home that has served as the official residence of Texas governors and their families since 1856. In 2008, the Friends of the Governor’s Mansion was created to help rebuild the mansion after a fire.

The Friends of the Governor’s Mansion began selling a custom keepsake yearly to help raise funds. The program started out small, but has grown as demand for these yearly ornaments has increased.

The Texas Governor’s Mansion has been fully rebuilt since the fire, partially thanks to the funding raised by the wildly successful annual keepsake program. The ornament program continues to bring in donations to fund upkeep to this day.
