The Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist has annual fundraising goals that they try to achieve and like many non-profits, they were searching for a unique way to do that.
In 2007, they began their research and stumbled upon Beacon Design. The idea of a custom keepsake made sense because it engaged their supporters annually and gave them a sustainable fundraising program.
This year marks the 16th annual keepsake and their program shows no signs of slowing down, if anything it’s ramping up. They started with small runs and each year they order a new design as well as re-orders of past years. They have turned their donors into collectors who look forward to every new design.
Creating keepsakes that resonate with parishioners and visitors, continues to help the Cathedral connect with their audience maximizing funds raised.
Marketing the product as a remembrance or keepsake allows them to bring sales in year round, not just during the Holidays.
