Another year represents another year of newly designed ornaments. Our team here at Beacon Design is ecstatic to reveal our new 2023 Retail Collection and the new 2023 White House Historical Association Christmas ornament.
Introducing Our New 2023 Retail Collection
Our 2023 Retail Collection features 61 brand-new, handmade pieces, all 100% made in the USA. With designs ranging from the categories of Coastal, Regional, Nature, and Military, plus many more of the long-time favored pieces, the varieties are endless.
One exciting new piece we have is the Bigfoot Crossing ornament. This piece is 2.9 x 2.77 x 0.25 inches and features a mural of Bigfoot roaming the green, grassy forest with shady trees toward rays of sunshine. A green, detailed banner with “Bigfoot Crossing” is also across the center. If your customers are Squatchers, this ornament is an excellent reminder of when they saw Bigfoot.
Another incredible piece we love is the Charcuterie Board ornament. This piece is 3.11 x 2.65 x 0.25 inches and features a beautiful display of a finished charcuterie board filled with various fruits, cheeses, crackers, and dips. Your favorite cheese plater is now your customer’s new favorite ornament.
If our custom banner namedrops ornaments are something you’re interested in, our 2023 collection features 14 new designs. If you find yourself loving a specific design that doesn’t come with a banner namedrop and fear it’s not customizable, don’t worry because you can add a custom oval namedrop to any piece. Did we mention most of our ornaments are finished in 24k gold?
The 2023 WHHA Christmas Ornament
The 2023 White House Historical Association Christmas ornament commemorates the 38th President of the United States, Gerald Rudolph Ford. This year’s ornament features a festive wreath inspired by the handcrafted Christmas decorations the Fords selected during their time at the White House.
The festive wreath features various emblems, including dolls, cherubs, doves, stars, flowers, gingerbread men, candles, pentagon balls, and red ribbons with the words “Christmas 2023” and “The White House.” The back of the ornament incorporates five emblems related to the life and presidency of Gerald R. Ford.
- “Troop 15” signifies Ford’s success in earning the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest possible rank in the Boy Scouts of America.
- Football “48” represents his athleticism and the number he wore when playing for the University of Michigan.
- A likeness of Liberty recalls the family’s famous golden retriever.
- The Bicentennial pin signifies President and Mrs. Ford’s contributions to celebrating the 200th anniversary of America’s founding.
- The emblem for the USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) highlights the first-in-class aircraft carrier commissioned to honor the 38th President as the flagship of Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group.
The White House Historical Association was established in 1961 by First Lady, Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy, to provide educational information about the history, appreciation, and preservation of the historical furnishings and artwork of the White House. Through fundraising and retail sales ranging from various books, accessories, toys, beloved Christmas ornaments, and more, the WHHA uses these proceeds to fund the investment of the White House preservation.
For the past 42 years, since 1981, the beginning of the ornament program, The White House Historical Association has partnered with Beacon Design to create unforgettable keepsakes that commemorate the American presidency. The WHHA introduces its annual ornament every February, and it is available for purchase year-round. From the design process, production, packaging, and many steps in between, the WHHA and Beacon Design have worked closely to bring each unique vision to life.
