2007 Grover Cleveland White House
The White House Historical Association has been manufacturing an annual ornament with Beacon Design, since 1981. Each year, a new design is created honoring the next President in succession. The 2007 White House Ornament highlights Grover Cleveland (1885-1889), the only U.S. president to serve two non-consecutive terms as the 22nd president from 1885 to 1889 and the 24th president from 1893 to 1897. Cleveland was also the only president to get married in the White House. In 1886, the 49-year old bachelor married 21-year old Frances Folsom in a small ceremony in the Blue Room. The historic event is the focus of the 2007 ornament.
Each piece is made in the USA from solid brass, finished in 24 karat gold, screen printed with exquisite color and is packaged in a gift box with a romance card detailing the ornament and it’s historical significance.
*White House ornaments are NOT eligible for Oval Namedrop.
