On January 2, 2020, Beacon Design launched its one-of-a-kind keepsake to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Women’s Right to Vote. As the industry leader in metal-etched keepsakes and one of the last great ornament companies in the United States, Beacon Design is proud to rally behind the centennial anniversary of the 19th Amendment.
The 19th Amendment
The 19th Amendment guarantees that all American women have the right to vote. This was by no means an easy milestone to achieve. As a matter of fact, it was a difficult struggle that took many decades to conquer. Generations of woman suffrage supporters marched, lectured, and lobbied for years. This amazing accomplishment is still one of the greatest changes to the Constitution. However, many of the supporters never had the opportunity to live long enough to witness their victory in 1920.
Commemorative Keepsake
There is no question that Beacon Design, a company made up of roughly 75% women, jumped on board to commemorate this iconic event in history. Not to mention, the Women’s Right to Vote Keepsake is manufactured and hand-assembled 100% in the U.S.A at their headquarters in Lincoln, RI.
The beautifully handcrafted ornament is metal-etched and made from solid brass with a 24kt gold frost finish. Vibrant blue and red color that outlines the ornament is digitally printed with precision. Additionally, a two-dimensional banner is draped across the bottom of the ornament and highlights the word, 100th Anniversary. Each piece is individually packed in an elegant Retail Showcase Window Box.
Raising Funds
To help in selling the commemorative keepsake, Beacon Design has teamed up with its partners in the nonprofit and retail industries. Most of the organizations use the funds that they are raising from the sale of this keepsake towards their mission and goals.
The National Susan B. Anthony Museum & House was one of the first to purchase the keepsake this year. Their goal is to raise funds to continue inspiring others through Susan B. Anthony’s life and work. Above all, they want to inspire and challenge individuals to make a positive difference. Ashland, The Henry Clay Estate is raising additional funds selling their keepsake to support the mission of the Henry Clay Foundation. Their mission is to promote the legacy of Henry Clay and to preserve his Ashland Estate as a testament to his love of Kentucky and the country.
One-of-a-kind Piece
When purchasing the 2020 Anniversary Keepsake, a customer is not only going home with a high-quality, commemorative ornament; they are honoring the passage of the 19th amendment. Furthermore, they are supporting the mission of organizations across the U.S. who are selling this piece.
For Ana Lopes, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Beacon Design, she says “We are proud to recognize this amazing event, to support women in all aspects of their lives, and to commemorate the great contributions they have made and continue to make to our society.”
