The 2011 White House Christmas ornament celebrates the tenure of Theodore Roosevelt, the United States’ 26th President, and embodies the exuberance that he, his wife Edith, and their spirited children infused into the White House. The ornament’s front features a vibrant illustration adapted from a 1901 political cartoon by William A. Rogers, encapsulating the joy and anticipation of the family’s inaugural White House Christmas; it depicts a cheerful Santa Claus traversing the North Lawn with a bulging sack of toys on his shoulder, exclaiming, “I hear that there are some kids in the White House this year.”

The White House Historical Association Annual Ornament
Since 1981 We’ve had the privilege of working with the White House Historical Association to design and produce their annual White House Christmas Ornament. Each year on President’s Day, a new version of this annual ornament is released. The theme of the annual design is based on a symbolic memory of a featured president and tied in with the theme of Christmas.
